Maranovo have blended two components to help grassroots-level football clubs earn money. One of those components comes from the professional football world and the other comes from the world of print.
The idea was to merge both worlds where young clubs could benefit from cash windfalls, raising the profiles of clubs and at the same time having a beautiful end product keepsake for life; in the shape of proper football annuals bespoke and dedicated to each specific grassroots clubs and academies.
It’s a win-win for everyone involved.
Professional Football:
Having a background in professional football, it was a no-brainer for our founder, Stephen Hamilton, to find himself still in the game in some capacity but with a difference. With his connections globally in the game, Stephen spent many years as a personal adviser, trainer, coach and international talent scout.
He is better known for the work he did in and around the Bundesliga professional youth set-up where he coached, nurtured and scouted for some of Germany’s future stars.
Stephen is also renowned for his personal development skills and designing training methods that maximise the potential in young players.
Such was his success, his name travelled far and wide and it didn’t take long before some of the game’s top clubs hovered to recruit his services.
Stephen had other ideas, preferring the low-key life; he wanted to put something back into the communities where young footballers, boys and girls, could benefit from. The idea of producing football books for the grassroots clubs was born some years ago. Things (and the brand) evolved, making it even more possible to create more and more funds for grassroots clubs around the UK.
The simple idea of young clubs proudly owning their own official football book/annual is the simplest but most effective way for clubs to earn good money and the clubs, parents and children get to have a fantastic keepsake for life.
It’s not every day you get to feature in a proper football book but Maranovo makes that dream come true…and puts money into clubs and academies.
Professional Printing:
The head of print operations, Allan Hawthorne, has decades of print knowledge and experience. He has owned his own print company since serving his apprenticeship. Allan is responsible for the everyday duties related to design, layout, print, and delivery.
Maranovo said: “It’s a great coup to have Allan as our partner. His experience will take us to another level and that can only be beneficial to the clubs and academies we’ll be working for.”
Allan will oversee all aspects of our high-quality print and develop the brand further across England and other parts of the UK.
Fundraising:
Since the idea of producing football books with guaranteed sales was born, we’ve raised a lot of money to help grassroots football clubs.
That money has helped to pay for kit and equipment, participate in tournaments overseas, and assist with the everyday costs associated with clubs.
Most clubs need cash injections.
Famous names that have appeared in our books:
Over the years we have had the privilege of having some of the biggest names in the history of the game – past and present – appear in our string of publications.
From the Brazilian great Pele on a visit to the UK, Manchester United legend George Best’s great charity gesture and wonderful contributions and input from Sir Alex Ferguson, Kenny Dalglish, John Greig, Bertie Auld and so many more. See more names here >>>
Household names, for sure, but it’s your name we want to see in our next publications.
Some young members in our earlier publications went on to greater things. It’s remarkable to think a young school child appears in one of our books then years later appears in major tournaments representing their country. It makes you think, your child could become the next big star.
