Our Commitment to Safeguarding

MARANOVO is committed to promoting the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all children, young people and vulnerable individuals who may feature within our publications, photographs, websites, promotional materials and related services.

As a publishing company working closely with football clubs, players, parents and community organisations, we recognise our responsibility to ensure that all content is handled with care, respect and appropriate consideration for safeguarding principles.

Purpose of This Policy

Working with Clubs and Parents

MARANOVO relies on football clubs, coaches, volunteers, parents and guardians to ensure that appropriate permissions are obtained before any photographs, player profiles or personal information are submitted for publication.

By providing content to MARANOVO, clubs and contributors confirm that:

• Appropriate parental or guardian consent has been obtained where required.
• The content is accurate and suitable for publication.
• The material does not place any child or vulnerable person at risk.
• The submission complies with the club’s own safeguarding policies and procedures.

Use of Children’s Images

Many MARANOVO publications celebrate the achievements of young footballers.

When using photographs of children, we aim to:

• Use images respectfully and appropriately.
• Avoid content that may be considered exploitative, inappropriate or harmful.
• Use photographs only for legitimate publishing and promotional purposes.
• Remove or refuse images that raise safeguarding concerns.

We reserve the right to decline publication of any photograph or content that we believe may compromise the welfare or privacy of a child.

Personal Information

To minimise risk, MARANOVO will endeavour to limit the amount of personal information published about children.

Unless specifically agreed and appropriately authorised, publications will generally avoid including:

• Personal contact details
• School information not relevant to the publication
